I've had this image in my head for a while now and so I had to put it down on paper. The title comes from Beauty and the Beast, as I just finished reading a retelling of that story. I hope you enjoy!

Her pose is amazing! The details on her wings and dress are also awesome. I'm glad you were able to get this one out of your head and share it with us. ^_^

Out of curiosity, who was the retelling written by? I love the story of Beauty and the Beast, and I'm always looking for retellings of it! I read one recently by Robin McKinley that I absolutely .

Thanks, I spent a good amount of time on her. ^_^

The retelling was by Robin McKinley as it happens. XD This one was named Beauty, I know she has also written one called Rose Child, which was also very good. I love that story a lot myself.

I think "Beauty" is my favorite retelling of hers. I read it again while I was at the beach this past week, and once again I finished it with the goofiest smile on my face. It's the perfect fairy tale ending to me.

Have you read McKinley's other books? "Spindle's End" is a retelling of the story of Sleeping Beauty. It's really different from the Disney version, but I think it's better. The characters seem more real.

Oh yes, I've read most of McKinley's books. I find all of them fascinating, and Spindle's End was a very good story indeed. ^_^ I'm glad you like her work too!
